Rock On Ruby Blogger Christmas Party!

A couple of weeks ago I attended an exclusive blogger's Christmas party hosted by fashion brand Rock on Ruby.

If you haven't heard of Rock on Ruby yet....WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!?! They have stormed the blogosphere this year and all the top bloggers have been pictured wearing their slogan tees. You can pick from the collections already available (Mean Girls collection, music tees, Christmas, unicorn and fairytale to name but a few) or you can create your own slogan and have it printed. You can even get your blog name on a tee or sweatshirt!

The event was held at Cane and Grain in Manchester's Northern Quarter and it was a really fun afternoon which definitely got me in the Christmas spirit! I arrived on my own (which I always find nerve-wracking!) but luckily the fabulous Holly from Rock on Ruby (check out her great blog here) was there to great me and I soon got chatting to Rosy from Rostinted.com who I had never met before. She is really lovely so go check out her blog too!

The ROR team really pulled out all the stops for us and had organised loads of fun activities for us to get involved in. I really like events that have activities as I think it gets everyone mingling and chatting and just makes for a fun atmosphere where everyone gets involved.

First stop though was the bar where a special Christmas cocktail had been created for us, containing vodka, lime and gingerbread.....delicious!

Next was the 'Styling Wall' where we each had to pick a top from the ROR range and style it up with vintage clothing and accessories from Blue Rinse Manchester. I picked a great blog related tee and styled it with some vintage ripped jeans and a black fur gilet.

We then got to design our own slogan tees or sweaters and pin them on the wall for a chance to win it. There were some really great quotes which would be fab printed onto a tee. Here is my design...

There was an abundance of cupcakes, sweets, mini mince pies and ROR themed Christmas decorations as well as a fantastic Illamasqua makeup artist demonstrating a 'Frozen' inspired look with lots of silver, ice blue and glitter. Basically the whole afternoon got everybody in the Christmas spirit and it looked like everyone really enjoyed themselves.

We also got given a very generous goody bag at the end which included products from Cocoa Brown, Lee Stafford, Stargazer, Dottie Rocks and even a ROR tee (mine says '#OUTFITOFTHEDAY' and I love it!) Keep an eye out on my blog for posts featuring some of these products soon.

Have you heard of Rock On Ruby? What slogan would you have printed on a tee?
